BECOME A TRAVEL ADVISOR WITH ATELIER CURIOSO

A studio-led community for advisors designing culturally rich, thoughtfully paced journeys with the support of shared standards, trusted partners, and ongoing guidance.

DESIGNED FOR THE CULTURALLY CURIOUS

This program is for advisors who want to design travel with cultural depth and a strong point of view. We are not a volume-based host agency. We keep the roster selective, the standards clear, and the support consistent so every journey reflects the Atelier Curioso approach: thoughtful pacing, refined curation, and meaningful access.

You’ll be supported by shared tools and systems, a trusted partner ecosystem, and ongoing studio guidance, alongside a community of peers who value taste, generosity, and collaboration.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This program is a strong fit for people who care as much about the quality of their work as the outcome. If you’re drawn to culture, aesthetics, and meaningful experiences, and want to design journeys with intention rather than speed, you’ll likely feel at home here.

THIS IS FOR YOU IF…

  • You have strong taste and a point of view (or you’re actively developing one)

  • You’re naturally curious—about culture, place, craft, design, food, and art

  • You enjoy the craft of itinerary design: pacing, narrative, details, and flow

  • You value collaboration and want peers to learn from, share with, and grow alongside

  • You’re organized, responsive, and calm when plans evolve

  • You want to build a long-term practice rooted in relationships and trust

THIS MAY NOT BE FOR YOU IF…

  • You’re looking for a high-volume, transaction-first model

  • You prefer templated itineraries or one-size-fits-all “packages”

  • You want a program with minimal involvement or no shared standards

  • You’re not interested in high-touch client care and detailed follow-through

  • You’re primarily motivated by quick wins rather than depth and longevity

You don’t need to have years in the industry to apply—but you should have the discipline, curiosity, and care required to deliver an elevated client experience.

We’re selective because the strength of the community matters.

A studio-led community

Atelier Curioso is not a directory or disconnected network. It is a working community where advisors share references, refine ideas, and support one another in real time.

We keep our roster intentionally small so the community feels close, responsive, and genuinely collaborative.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

Weekly co-working / open Q&A to workshop active trips, sharpen proposals, and troubleshoot in real time.

STUDIO HOURS

Occasional in-person moments to deepen relationships, exchange ideas, and spend time together beyond the screen.

GATHERINGS (WHEN POSSIBLE)

Monthly sessions focused on destinations, partners, seasonal shifts, openings, and what’s actually changing on the ground.

ADVISOR ROUNDTABLES

A shared culture of learning—notes and insights from research travel, new properties, and cultural moments worth building around.

FIELD NOTES

how it works

Joining Atelier Curioso is less about entering a program and more about becoming part of the studio.

Here’s how it begins.

APPLY

1

Complete the application with a snapshot of your background, travel style, and why this community feels aligned. If you have examples of your work—an itinerary, proposal, writing sample, or portfolio—include them.

INTRO CONVERSATION

2

If it looks like a fit, we’ll schedule a short call to understand how you work, what you’re building, and what kind of support will help you grow. This is as much about alignment as it is about experience.

ACCEPTANCE & ONBOARDING

3

Accepted advisors receive onboarding into our studio standards, tools, and workflows—how we design journeys, communicate with clients, manage details, and maintain quality. You’ll also be introduced to the community and how we stay connected.

BEGIN DESIGNING

4

You’ll start designing with support—access to our resources, preferred partners, and studio guidance as you build proposals, refine itineraries, and manage active trips. Over time, you’ll develop faster fluency, stronger confidence, and a clearer point of view.

ONGOING SUPPORT

5

Community touchpoints, destination updates, and studio collaboration continue throughout—so you’re never navigating complex travel alone, and your work keeps evolving with the world.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Not necessarily. We’re open to applicants from a range of backgrounds, including those coming from adjacent fields like design, hospitality, media, events, writing, or brand strategy. What matters most is that you have strong taste, genuine curiosity, excellent follow-through, and the discipline to create thoughtful client experiences. If you already have experience in travel, that can be valuable, but it is not the only path in.

  • Advisors earn commission on eligible bookings made through Atelier Curioso’s partner network and supplier relationships. The exact structure is shared during the application process so there is full clarity around how earnings are handled, what is commissionable, and how payouts work. Our model is designed to support advisors in building a sustainable long-term practice, not just making one-off bookings.

  • Yes, depending on your capacity and the way you work. We understand that some advisors are building this alongside another creative or professional practice. What matters is that you can be responsive, organized, and fully present for your clients when needed. Because travel is time-sensitive, especially when guests are in motion, reliability and follow-through are essential.

  • Advisors receive access to the core tools, systems, and workflows we use to design and manage trips with consistency and care. This includes planning frameworks, itinerary standards, supplier and partner guidance, internal resources, and ongoing studio support. You also benefit from shared knowledge across the community, from destination insights to proposal feedback to practical advice when trips become more complex.

  • No. Travel can deepen your perspective, but we do not expect advisors to be constantly on the road. Strong research, thoughtful listening, and the ability to translate information into a well-shaped client experience matter just as much. When advisors do travel, we encourage them to travel with intention and to bring back useful observations, references, and insights that strengthen their work.

  • Support is ongoing and built into the structure of the program. Advisors are not left to figure everything out alone. Through shared studio tools, regular touchpoints, collaborative sessions, and access to trusted partners, you’ll have guidance as you grow your practice and shape client work. The goal is to create a community where support feels practical, consistent, and genuinely useful — not performative.
